It seems my Knowledge of 92 Dead is sorely in need of some enlightenment. Was it really one bad year for the Dead as others have suggested or have I overlooked this year because of my general malaise regarding this final era for the lads? Any help will be rewarded with positive thoughts streamed through cyberspace in your direction.
What a deal! Peace to all and thaks again.

the compton show also has the best sound of almost any DL on this site. At least I think so. I think lots of shows from 92 are good, it just depends on the sound quality of the recording (a point I'm trying to impress)

03-23-92 is one of my long time favorites. It has the greatest version of Phil's "Wave to the Wind" Ever! I've heard several other versions of this tune and they all fall short of this up-tempo rockin version. also, check out the Crazy fingers, Loose Lucy, West L.A. Fade Away, and yes, Victim or the Crime. this little unpopular diddy was pretty happening that night.

06-08-92 is also another favorite from 1992. Nice early "So Many Roads". 1992 was kind of the beginning of the last upswing for the band and probably takes more of a bad rap than it deserves. Hope these two help out your 1992 collection a bit.

3.20 from Canada is good. May Cal Expo had some moments, the Baba encore debut had a spark that had been missing and was my favorite Vince contribtuion. 6.25 is fun to listen to on good headphones.

6-28-92 Deer Creek was a decent show with an interesting set list, and there's a nice SBD of it here. In general, though, '92 was the start of the long slow slide. Vince took over solo keyboard duties in the summer, so the cheese got a little heavy, and Jerry went down with, er, "health issues" after the summer tour.

I'm a bit late to this thread but may faves for '92 (I like '93 much better) are 5/31, 6/12, 6/20, 12/12 and 12/17

6/20 RFK is the best sounding copy IMO. Very Hot.
